A week or so before Father’s Day, Ricky and my mom were hanging out. He informed her since she didn’t have a husband on earth, the family should all come to our house for Father’s Day. There you go. So that’s what we did.
It was also Cousin Cate’s birthday celebration. She’s awfully cute …
Cate got a vintage baby buggy as a gift and, naturally, we had to try it out with Tommy!
Uncle Tony’s birthday was the week before and the boys gave him their present on Father’s Day as well. Ricky got him soda and Billy wanted to give him balloons, so we bought a bag of assorted balloons. They were a huge hit with all the littles especially when Uncle Tony taught them to rub the balloons on hair to make them stick to the wall. I think Rusty did this one backwards – he rubbed it on the wall and then it stuck to his hair! (Yup, that balloon hung around on his head for a minute before he finally knocked it off)
And as you would expect with in a house full of costume-wearing boys (we had an alien, Spiderman, and a ninja turtle), some rough-housing got started. Perhaps the uncle helped …
It went from a group hug …
To this …
To this …
And then I think in a desperate attempt to end the madness and gross the children out, Uncle Tony licked one. I believe the purpose was to get the kids off. He must have forgotten Ricky’s tongue …
