Ricky had a great month. He took swimming lessons in June and loves the water more than ever! He can’t take a bath without drenching his mom, even though she tries to hide behind the shower curtain–he loves to splash! He now has eight teeth and is getting very brave about standing without holding on to anything. Ricky hasn’t taken those first steps yet, and we don’t mind at all. He is very strong and pushes and pulls his way over and through every barrier we try to make for him. His birthday was a lot of fun and he had a lot of family come to support him for a birthday dinner. Ricky went to his first parade on the Fourth and, even though all the sirens made him a little nervous, he had a great time waving at all the people in the parade. He waved and waved. We were very proud parents when Ricky won the West Point City Baby Contest and became their Junior King that same day. Our baby is growing up and is so much fun. He really is a happy little guy with a lot of personality.
