After 4 1/2 days of no phone line or DSL, we are finally up and running (and Kevin is thankful to not have to call Qwest to complain anymore).
We had great holidays around here. I don’t know if Christmas could be more fun than it was with Ricky. When he was asked what Santa was bringing him for Christmas, Ricky would answer, “Presents!” and one woman in a store followed that up with, “what is going to be in those presents?” and Ricky was right there to reply, “I don’t know. It isn’t Christmas yet!” For the 3 or 4 days before Christmas, Ricky asked Kevin and I repeatedly, “Is it Christmas yet?” No, we would tell him only to be asked, “Is it Christmas Eve yet?”
We hosted a family get-together the Sunday before Christmas and Ricky adored having the whole family over to play with his toys (the whole reason they were here in his mind). He even had Uncle Tony following maps around the house (i.e. start at Ricky’s room, go to the dishwasher, next to the Christmas tree, then to the X in the play room). This led to a rambunctious game of cars . . .
Billy is getting the hang of feeding himself. This is what a 10 month old looks like while feeding themselves oatmeal.
And this is the easiest way to clean said 10 month old.
Have I mentioned Billy loves his pacifier? If he is fussy or having a hard time going to sleep–pop one in his mouth and let him hold one in his hand.
Christmas morning Grandmama came over to see the boys open their gifts. Santa was good to them, but Ricky was less than thrilled to unwrap books and clothes from us.
