Today a bunch of my family came over to meet Rusty. We weren’t good at taking pictures, but we got a couple . . . not necessarily of Rusty, unfortunately!
Here is half of the crew watching the ever exciting “Handy Manny” show. It is the boys’ current favorite. Ricky likes to act out scenes from the show and Billy gets the toy hammer and walks around whacking things saying, “Ammer! Ammer! Ammer!” Billy has even been known to wake up at 2 am calling out for this hammer.
The boys love Cousin Danny. He and Billy especially enjoy playing . . . once they get used to each other. It seems like they just find their groove and it is time to leave. They were both laying on the floor pretending to be asleep – complete with the fake snore.
Ricky never asks to hold Rusty, but he loves singing to him. This morning we caught him rocking Rusty’s bassinette and singing the baby songs from one of his books. Then this afternoon, Ricky was bouncing Rusty in his infant seat and singing him the Winnie the Pooh song. It is incredibly sweet. Tonight, Kevin asked if Ricky wanted to hold the baby and he actually said yes.
After we said prayers tonight, Billy even showed interest in Rusty. I guess he’s warming up to him after all.
