Tonight I set out milk and a few m&m’s for the boys’ pre-bed snack. Ricky was still getting his pajamas on, but Billy climbed onto his stool, very excited about the candy and I walked away to tidy up. I came back and Billy was now on Ricky’s stool and ALL the m&m’s were gone. When I asked Billy, “Where did Ricky’s m&m’s go?” he proudly opened his mouth to show me the melt-in-your-mouth evidence of his thievery!
Rusty is growing chunkier by the minute. He weighed in last Thursday at his 2 month check at 12 pounds and 4 ounces. He smiles often and has learned to grasp things — and he doesn’t like to let go. This is very sweet when it is your finger, not so sweet when it is a clump of your hair!
Ricky’s latest vocabulary word is actually. “Actually, Momma, I’d like some milk.” “Actually, that isn’t the movie I want to watch.” “Actually, these are not pajamas and I want to wear pajamas to school!” The word is usually used correctly, but sometimes he inserts it in unexpected places prompting giggles from those listening.
