The final day of celebrating Ricky’s fifth birthday was Sunday when we invited my whole family over. We were just thankful that Billy was feeling well enough to enjoy this day a bit.
We knew Billy was finally feeling better when we caught him playing with Ricky’s birthday toys. He calls these astronauts “superheros.”
Rusty was ready to celebrate, too.
Uncle Tim likes that Rusty doesn’t cry just because he’s in the room!
Aunt Cathy made Ricky’s cake, er, cupcakes. I love these Pac-Man cupcakes! Ricky thought it was the neatest thing!
Some of the fam sitting around waiting to sing a birthday song.
Ricky trying to blow out the candles before the breeze could blow them out. I think I only managed to get 2 or 3 lit in the first place.
There was a dark blue ghost because Pac-Man had eaten one of the power pellets. Since Pac-Man could eat that one, Ricky had to eat that ghost too.
It seems that everyone wants to kiss Rusty’s cheeks. I’m not sure why . . .
Uncle Tim didn’t wrap his present, so Ricky got to play Hot and Cold with a blindfold. Billy liked yelling “no peeking! no peeking!”
The Transformers.
A significant amount of time had passed and Uncle Tony was still helping Ricky figure out how to find the robot and turn it back into a car again.
Aunt Cathy and Danny teeter-tottering.
Billy climbed to the top of the jungle gym and started yelling for Uncle Tony. I guess he had something important to tell him right that second.
Ricky making the rounds to get his birthday spankings. If those spanks are for good luck and growth, he should have a great year!
Thanks for that disgusting fat picture of me. I guess that’s my payback for the harmonica. I’m off to start my diet now.
um, did I miss something here? Why does it look like Rusty is standing up in that picture?
Rusty is “standing” in the picture but only because my brother has a hold on his overall straps!
