Rule #1: Get your 20 minutes of reading in every day. A cute girl reading to you makes it even more educational.
Rule #2: Boys are meant to wiggle. Especially when they have been in airports the majority of the day. If your brother and cousin want to wiggle with you, it is even better.
Rule #3: Do not wrestle in a hotel lobby. It makes your mom mad. It is easy to forget this rule.
Rule #4: Go to the kids camp on a cruise ship as often as you can. Learn right away to ask lots of questions and you’ll make friends with the counselors.
Rule #5: Smile when people call you Captain. Then start ignoring people after about the 100th person makes the comment. It is easier that way.
Rule #6: Don’t stay in the sand pile too long. It gets up your trunks and itches. Do let them bury you, but immediately get up.
Rule #7: Go to the beach. Play in the sand. Love the ocean. It is the best way to spend a day.
Rule #8: If a pirate tells you to scrub the deck, do it! Even when they are dumping cold water on you, do it!
Rule #9: If a pirate tells you to take a Pirate’s Oath to never listen to your parents or do what they say, do it. He has a rusty sword and already threatened to cut off one girl’s hair!
Rule #10: Don’t jump off the plank. If you stand there long enough, the pirate lady will give you a bump off. It is more exciting this way.
Rule #11: Swim in the Caribbean Sea. It is the best! And if you can get away from your parental unit, drifting with the waves is even better.
Rule #12: Climb a waterfall at least once in your life. Even if that once is when you are just 5 years old.
Rule #13: Get a dancing lesson. An uncle is usually a good choice for a teacher.
Rule #14: Always get at least one souvenir tee shirt. Even if your aunt made them at home before the trip and brought them with her, it still counts.
