I had a couple of ladies come visit me today. We’d been visiting for five or six minutes when Ricky came wandering upstairs. He saw them and darted into the kitchen. I wasn’t sure what he was up to, but I just kept visiting. Then in comes Ricky carrying 3 water bottles from our fridge. He said, “I thought you might want some water,” and passed the water bottles around. Where does he come up with this stuff?
We made Valentine’s for family night tonight. Billy was thrilled to be using scissors and markers so freely! Then we let him use glue … not even a glue stick, good old Elmer’s School Glue. He was in heaven! Well, in heaven until Kevin put a stop to the pile of glue forming on the Valentine. Billy got his grumpy face on, pointed to the clock and said, “The clock says I need more glue!” (We’ve heard from the clock before. It also says it isn’t bedtime, that Billy needs more cookies, and that the tv is not tired.)
I skipped out a bit early from the Valentine making to put Rusty to bed and the boys finished up. As I understand it, Kevin took Billy up to get his jammies on and Ricky said he had to finish something up. I was shown the result when I came down. Ricky had made a crooked little pink heart that says on the inside “To: Billy From: Ricky.” Billy wouldn’t put it down and said he was going to keep it forever. I love it when they love each other!
