On Sunday we invited my family over to celebrate Rusty and Billy’s birthdays and we threw in some Valentine celebrating as well.
We hadn’t told Billy that we’d be celebrating his birthday with the family early, so when we lit some candles on the scrumptious heart-shaped brownies and started singing, Billy was looking around to see who it was that we were singing to. When he realized that it was him, Billy got the biggest smile on his face! He then took many attempts to blow out the candles. Uncle Tony was holding him at just the right distance so the air could reach the candles, but not the little bits of spit that Billy was also blowing out!
Billy got even more excited when he realized presents were involved!
Big brothers enjoy little brothers’ birthday presents too …
Uncle Dan picked out a GeoTrax train toy for Billy and somehow he knew as soon as he started ripping the paper. Under his breath you could hear, “It’s GeoTrax something! It’s GeoTrax something!”
Don’t forget the thank you hugs …
Rusty got in on the present action too!
Some gifts become a whole cousin affair …
Rusty had to fight everyone off for a ride on his new fire truck …
Then he and Cate had to have a little discussion about it.
By the time the family left, the boys were exhausted.
Thanks for a great day, everyone!
