Just after we got back from our California trip, the crib came down. We’ve had a crib up in our house since … um, February 2009. So three years. We only had it down for about a month before that. We moved Billy into a toddler bed and took the crib down for a short while so he wouldn’t think of it as his and be mad at Rusty for stealing it. So, really, we’ve had a crib up since February 2007. Nearly five and a half years. I’ll say it again, five and a half years.
Now the crib is in several pieces in the garage waiting for a more permanent resting spot.
Rusty got a new twin sized bed …
And Tommy is taking his turn with the toddler bed …
Along with the big boy beds, we had to make another change. You see, Tommy now had freedom. He could get up whenever he pleased … and what he pleased to do was jump on Rusty. Sweet Rusty would be sound asleep and Tommy would pounce on him! So, now we have three boys in one room and Tommy gets his own. Rusty likes it because he feels like a real big boy in his big brothers’ room. Tommy likes it because we aren’t yelling at him to leave Rusty alone for several hours each night. And, Kevin and I like it because everybody is getting more sleep.
