As much as I enjoy carving pumpkins, with 5 little kids it just isn’t really practical right now. One of those current phase of life things. Bobby is too little to do anything. I could probably trust Ricky and maybe Billy with one of those pumpkin carvers, but not the two littles. I don’t enjoy the gutting process enough to help do 4 of them for the kids plus my own (I don’t want to be left out). So, for now, we’ll stick to the easy and safe way of decorating pumpkins – Mr. Potato Head-like parts.
We dump them all out on the table and the boys take turns picking out the pieces they want for their pumpkins. There were no fights except they all wanted arms and we only have 2 sets.
Bobby was only tolerant of this event for a few minutes – so it is good that it doesn’t take long. We couldn’t let him be the only one upset in the picture so the boys all made a Bobby face …
Just one more part of the Halloween season that I love!
