More than 3 years ago, the Ogden Temple closed for major renovations. Those renovations eventually led to nearly the whole temple being demolished and rebuilt. We’ve missed our temple. This August, they finally opened the doors for an open house and we took the boys to check it out. (Bobby stayed home with Aunt Nancy – we were all happier that way)
It might have been a bit too bright that morning … the temple is actually in the background of this picture of me and the littles…
The temple looks nothing like it did before. No longer is it round and dated. It has been furnished with retro looking furniture though. Very classy looking.
Grandmama came with us. This is the new fountain on the East side of the temple.
After the tour, there was an info tent that we walked through. Tommy saw a little boy by the statue of Jesus and looked up at me and said, “Can I go by Jesus?” Always, son. You can always go by Jesus.
Temples mean a lot to me for many reasons. One of those is that I get to keep these boys as mine for eternity …
There is nothing better than that!
