Billy had his first piano recital in December. He played Away in a Manger and Jingle Bells. His songs were written as duets and his teacher asked if he wanted her to play with him … or his mom. Sigh. The problems that come when the piano teacher knows Mom plays the piano. Even though playing in front of others is SO not my thing, how do you say no to Billy?
It was actually a very enjoyable recital. There were some very talented students and a few like Billy, who were just starting out. The whole thing was very well done. Billy didn’t really feel well and his poor eyes told me he was coming down with something, but he pulled it off and did a very good job. With only three and a half months of lessons under his belt, I was incredibly impressed!
He and Ricky take piano from different teachers. The boys have different personalities and different learning styles, so we thought different teachers might be best. So far it is working out wonderfully for everyone!
