Kevin spent a week in Massachusetts for work in December. It was a long week.
To entertain the boys one day (and give me a bit of a break), I pulled out the construction paper and scissors and set them to work making decorations for our small Christmas tree and making snowflakes. They were delighted.
My boys love crafting. I love letting them … I just don’t really love the clean up afterwards part.
Paper snowflakes are one of the worst! All those tiny nips and cuts equal a lot of tiny pieces of paper all over the floor … and in Bobby’s mouth. He loves to pick up tiny white things and put them in his mouth.
So many snowflakes were made. We had some for our tree and then covered our dining room window with them. Some white and some blue and orange.
It takes a lot of concentration to make each snowflake unique and special.
Number 5 wanted in on the action. He loves scissors. He doesn’t know what they are for, but he knows he wants them!
Our tree turned out very Christmasy!
It was probably worth all that mess.
