Baseball season began in May. Billy is playing his second year on a machine pitch team. Rusty and Tommy are doing coach pitch/t-ball on the same team. It has been so much fun watching them play!
We are the totally laid back parents. The ones who want their kids to play and improve, but not at the cost of a gazillion practices. T-ball is the best for that. It is just fun to watch and we laugh more than anything. They’ve got to get these poor kids some smaller helmets though – more than once Tommy has just swung at thin air because he couldn’t see anything but the inside of the helmet!
The boys seem to like it. Billy has really enjoyed the experience this year and does pretty well. His team has been quite chill this year and we like that. Next year he moves up to the kid pitch league and I’m not sure what that will bring!
Bobby has been a good sport about watching his brothers play. He even occasionally cheers! But mostly he just wants his chance to go down the park slide with me!
Better baseball pictures will be coming. I know I’ve got some of Billy playing and a friend took some nice ones of the younger boys. So there will be at least 2 posts about baseball. I know you all were hoping for that!
