Holy May!
Last month was crazy busy for me and many things fell from the priority list. The blog was one of those that fell. It is time to do some catch up.
First off, I love this face.
He was such a good crib sleeper (note: this changed June 1 when the crib had to be taken down because of his climbing skills). He would go right to sleep and play so nicely in there when he did wake up. Granted, he liked a bottle to help him sleep, but he was such a cute, good sleeper!
See?! I just love him!
We planned to take his play pen down in April. He hadn’t played in it for weeks and it was in the way. A couple of hours before I was going to dismantle it, where do I find Bobby? But in his play pen, of course. He’d climbed on in and was happily playing!
While he was happy in there for a while, he was even happier playing with the big pile of toys we dumped out of it as we put it away.
We had that nasty bug in April that hit everybody. It hit some of us harder than others.
Poor Rusty and Tommy felt pretty horrible and looked awfully sad for several days.
Bobby wasn’t as sick, but he had to copy cat his brothers anyway.
It took them several days to feel better. Poor guys.
Ricky needed to see a play to earn a pin for Scouts so Ricky, Billy, and I went to see “The Secret Garden” on a Saturday afternoon.
It was a good production at the Egyptian theater in Ogden. It was a ballet, so the boys had to figure out the story without any talking. It was good for them, heehee!
Afterwards, we got some yummy ice cream. The boys got to mix and match flavors and add their own toppings – they were in heaven!
Our neighbors have some piglets. Tommy was trying so hard to pet one!
We did swimming lessons in April. One less thing to have to worry about this summer for me.
The boys all learned a lot and had a lot of fun.
It is getting harder for the older boys to pass their classes, but they enjoy the process and are making progress and that’s what counts!
Plus, they have their dad who can teach them one-on-one. Billy skipped the Level 3 class because Kevin taught him what he needed to know. Kind of handy having a swim teacher in the family!
Tommy likes to comb his hair. Correction. Tommy likes to get his head soaking wet and using combing as an excuse to do so.
My boys are cute. I’m biased, though.
Despite my protests, Kevin is trying to potty train Bobby. There have been successes and he seems to understand the idea, but we are no where near trained. He does like sitting on his potty though.
And that is most of April in a nutshell.
