Let’s do this…
My irises are super pretty but really need to be thinned. They made it almost scary to walk up to the front door!
May is the beginning of baseball season at our house. Billy, Rusty, and Tommy played. Billy has a style all his own, even in baseball- bright yellow gloves and cleats for the win!
Tommy’s 1st grade class walked to the post office by the school one day. They got to mail themselves a postcard. Here was part of Tommy’s message, “Hi myself. I hope you had a wonderful day”
We decided to get season passes to Lagoon this year and our first trip there was a chilly Saturday. The boys loved it!
Some of the boys were not so sure about the roller coasters!
Bobby thought the dragon coaster was great fun!
It’s like a rule that you have to ride the train around the lagoon and see all the animals…
Sometimes we assume strange positions during family prayers …
Mother’s Day with my boys…
I’m a very lucky lady!!
They are getting so big that they all can’t kiss me at once anymore!
One of Billy’s games was so bitterly cold! My toes were numb and took hours to thaw. Billy didn’t want to be too hindered in his playing, so he opted to wear a red flannel shirt under his jersey. Like I said, he’s got style!
I wasn’t in charge of field day at the boys’ school this year. I missed it. I still got to help and be a part of it, though.
It was kind of nice to not have any stress about it, actually.
I got to enjoy watching my boys have a good time. That’s my truly favorite part of Field Day anyway.
Ricky had a super busy last week of school. He performed in a one act play one night. You can see it HERE. (14 minutes) I was very impressed with how well he did!!
He also had a choir concert. Ricky enjoys singing and is gaining more confidence in his ability. You can hear his songs (about 2 minutes each) HERE, HERE, and HERE.
There was also an honors award night. Ricky was recognized for being on the track team and receiving honors and high honors for the first 3 terms of the year (all A’s except one A-).
The elementary school boys had class parties the last week of school that I volunteered to help with. Tommy and his teacher, Mrs. Bolingbroke, had no mercy with the water guns!
Tommy and Rusty were on the same baseball team which made my life a little easier. They were a cute little team who were just about having fun!
Rusty had no mercy on his teacher, Mrs. Liechty, at his class party at the park. They both came out soaked!
Billy’s party ended with some water balloon launching. I think the goal is to get hit by as many balloons as possible!
We loved Billy’s teacher, Mrs. Porter, so much!
I went to school with Tommy’s teacher. I love her! I’ve also warned her that she better hang around for a few years so Bobby can have her as well!
Mrs. Liechty has had 3 of the boys (Tommy has her this year). She genuinely loves my boys!
Sometimes you just need to snuggle on the couch with a good book. A good book and a couple of cats is even better!
The last day of 1st, 2nd, and 4th grades!
Last day of 7th grade (we not only survived, Ricky thrived)!
The traditional Memorial Day visit to say hi to my dad…”Hi, Grandpa Chet!”
And that was May.
