Here’s April 2018:
Ricky’s second year of track. He usually runs the 800M but got to run a relay at one of the meets. Track season gives you really cold meets and really hot ones! I love seeing him push himself and improve!
Billy and Rusty waiting for their 11 & 9 year well-checks. They were both just fine. Little did I know that Billy would get pink eye the next day and Rusty a couple days later while were were camping!
We took the boys to the Gemstone Junction at the fairgrounds. They were all kinds of rocks and crystals and gems to look at. The boys got to rummage for gems in a pile of dirt. They saw fossils and were “eaten” by Mr. Bones – a man who walked around in a giant dinosaur bone puppet! They made Styrofoam and lava lamps. We even got to open a geode! We all had a great time.
Spring Break 2018 – We camped at Quail Creek State Park, outside of St. George, with our friends the Bucks, the Farnsworths, and the Drapers. We hiked in the Red Cliffs Reserve on the Anasazi and Silver Reef Trails. We saw ancient ruins, dinosaur tracks, and enjoyed the time with our friends! I learned the hard way to beware the ants when going to the bathroom in nature!!!
We hiked the Yank Flats (Candy Cliffs). It was a long and dusty and bumpy road to get there but so worth it!
We headed to hike at Kanarraville Falls. Billy was just getting over his pink eye plus feeling awful and Rusty got hit with the same thing this morning. (I waited until we got home to have the pleasure of catching it!) Rusty was a good sport about hiking. He made it pretty far before he and I turned around and came back. I read. Rusty napped. He napped in what looked like an uncomfortable position to me but he was happy with his tissue on his face.
We spent a day at the Johnson Farm – driving big rigs, riding horses, climbing haystacks, riding 4 wheelers, eating a picnic lunch, having our friend’s missing dog Rosie return!
Quail Creek is even more fun with canoes and kayaks. A couple boys went too far and we thought they were stuck, but they were just exploring. (none of our boys – our friends’)
The trailer is good to us, but bit crowded when we all try to sleep in it. The boys are getting too big! But Rusty and Ricky made the best of it. I love my time with my men!
I went on a PTA Board retreat to a cabin in Logan with, among others, my friends Becca and Amy.
I loved being a room mom to Rusty’s awesome 3rd grade class with Mr. Claycomb.
Tommy got his phase 1 braces on.
Kevin was rubbing my back and found a 6 inch hair…attached!!!
Bobby practicing 2 rccorders at once.
I found a never before seen picture of my dad on TDY in Germany in 1985.
I seem to take a lot of pictures of my cats … but they are cute so I make no apologies!
Only 5 of our Little monkeys Preschool t-shirts. I know we have at least 2 more in our stash! Ricky started going there when he was 4 in 2008 and we’ve hardly missed a year since. We are definitely fans of Ms. Cherie!
Kevin and I modeling the head nets we bought for our camping trip to Antelope Island. Beware the biting gnats!
The 3rd annual Hooper Elementary Art Show – Rusty and Tommy’s classes performed a few songs each.
