In September, Kevin and I snuck away for a Saturday. We went to a ropes course with our friends, the Bucks, to a “couples retreat.” Building with marshmallows and toothpicks was NOT my favorite part. But there were many other activities that I absolutely loved!
Our lawnmower threw its belt all summer long (to my much frustration). Kevin tried his best to solve the recurring problem … Bobby did, too!
This is my thinking chair. Sometimes I just need to sit and think. It is in my room and usually a cat joins me as soon as I sit down. Sometimes Kevin takes a picture of me thinking and sometimes I don’t really want him, too!
So, as retaliation, I post lovely pictures of him like this … heeheehee
The end of September, Kevin got to go to a BYU football game with his brother David who was in town for work. They had a good time catching up!
And after all these years, I still chuckle when Kevin stands next to his “little” brother!
While doing his landlord duties this fall, Kevin took Billy with him. Getting to climb around the roof of a house was a MAJOR highlight for this fearless child of mine!
We had family over for lunch one Sunday and a game of Bingo happened. Bobby decided that his best friend was my niece’s boyfriend Spencer. It was adorable!
I own cats not just because I enjoy them, but because they are to keep mice out of my house. They do a decent job, unless that mouse is hiding under a bookcase …
We took our trailer out for one more camp out in October. We just went up to Willard Bay and found a spot. The boys explored and got plenty dirty and we were home in time to do some things around the house the next day … it was perfectly lovely!
That was one of our hopes with getting the trailer – taking it out for quick trips. It was delightfully comfy and cozy!
Oh, and delightfully fun!
Have I ever mentioned that Rusty really likes dinosaurs and dinosaur facts?
Sometimes Batman needs a hard hat.
We never did build a sandbox at this house. The boys have been content with the dirt and I decided I was okay with that. This fall they decided dig a hole. It got pretty deep before they lost interest …
Baseball season ended months ago for this boy, but he still loves to wear his uniform. I let him. On Saturdays.
Sometimes I check on the boys’ rooms and get startled by the animal on the bed that isn’t actually stuffed! Maggie loves the boys’ beds, especially Rusty’s.
One day we found a large, strange puddle on our counter. We traced it back to this watermelon. It just sprouted a hole and started sending out foam?!?!
Maggie is pretty much a fan of any bedding.
And that wraps up the things Kevin sees through his lens. There you go!
