In between my boys’ birthdays, there was a day to celebrate me. We kept it simple because you really can only do so much birthday celebrating at once.
Our day started with a trip to the driver’s license division to get me a new driver’s license. Kevin had the day off and Tommy and Rusty were happy to come along.
Then the excitement got even bigger … a trip to the lab where Kevin and I both had our blood drawn for cholesterol tests that our new insurance required. Rusty and Tommy could barely contain their excitement.
Since the boys had been so good for these incredibly boring activities, we next hit Beus Pond, where they immediately took off chasing the geese.
How they love those birds.
They also loved climbing on rocks.
Bobby did a great job sleeping through it all.
We walked the path around the pond and the boys counted trash cans. You know how thrilling it is to get to the fifth trash can, right? Yeah, me neither.
Sometimes we OD on birthday cake in February, so I asked for pumpkin pie for my birthday dessert. Kevin got a couple of cute little pies from the grocery store. I’m good with that. I didn’t have to make it!
It was a good day and I was spoiled. I love my men so much!
We did a little birthday celebrating one Sunday in February with some of my family. The boys never seem to get enough of blowing out candles!
