Billy Laughed!

Today we heard an honest to goodness laugh from Billy! I was playing Patty-Cake with him and he chuckled so much that his whole body shook with the laughter. It was dang cute! Billy wiggles and squirms a lot, lifting his legs in the air, and turning his head to watch the tv or look for the person who is talking in the room. He especially likes to watch Ricky, although yesterday, Ricky was doing the Itsy Bitsy Spider to him and Billy got scared and cried. Billy seems to be much more drooly than Ricky ever was. His fingers are constantly in his mouth or he is licking his palm or, at the very least, blowing bubbles.

Last Sunday, Uncle Dan and Aunt Cathy brought Cousin Danny up for a visit. The two boys looked awfully cute together. Danny tried to give Billy a hug or maybe he was hungry . . . which we aren’t quite sure about!

Ricky started a tumbling class this week. The gym had several other classes going on at the same time and Ricky had a hard time focusing, but he loved the trampolines and the big pit full of foam squares. His teacher was impressed with his bravery. She told me that often it takes a couple of weeks for the kids to jump into the pit, but she had a hard time getting Ricky to stop jumping in and once he was in, it was difficult to get him back out! He even held onto the rope swing that swings over the pit with no sign of fear or hesitation. Hopefully, he’ll get used to the commotion and be able to learn something soon.

Ricky does play hard and needs his nap to refresh him. I caught him in this position one day during his nap. Not exactly sure how or why, but I let sleeping boys lie.

Kevin came home from work on Thursday and found Ricky looking like this. He’d spilled water on his clothes and while they were drying, he wore an old tee shirt of Grandpa’s. Why Ricky was wearing Grandmama’s garden shoes is anyone’s guess.
