The Pregnant Brain

I generally reserve this website to just stories of my boys, but this is one story of myself that I want #3 to remember.   Kevin is wonderful at carrying the laundry for me–we have a few too many stairs between the hamper and my washing machine and my bending abilities are diminishing.  The other morning, I wanted to start a load early.  I had Kevin bring it down and put it in the washer.  The cats followed us, wanting their breakfast, so while Kevin stuffed the washer, I opened their cat food tub, filled the can we use to fill their dishes and promptly dumped it all on top of the clothes in the washing machine!   Luckily, Kevin was there and stopped me from actually turning the water on, so we were able to salvage most all of the cat food.  Really not sure what happened there, but Kevin and I both couldn’t stop laughing for a while.

I can’t post without at least one story of the boys.  I have a quilt up in my family room that I’m tying for my friend’s new baby (Shelly, disregard that sentence) and the cats will not stay off of it.  They think it is a big hammock!  I’ve had to repeatedly scold them and Kevin chases them off making them fly around the room in fear.  While I was putting Billy down for his nap, I hear Ricky downstairs scolding, “Hey, you!  Get off of that right now!”   I could just picture his hands on his hips and his foot stomping while he said it.  I’m guessing it worked, because he didn’t repeat the command!
