The Balloon Festival Pictures

I know you’ve all been anxiously awaiting the pictures from our Friday night adventure to the Hot Air Balloon Festival on Antelope Island.  So here you go:

Apparently the wind must be just right to launch a hot air balloon.  When we arrived, there were some huge kites and these kite-type flags …

… but we were a bit bummed that there were no balloons in view.  We held out, got some food, grabbed a few chairs and let the boys have a fantastic time dancing to the music that was playing.  Ricky had the beat …

and learned his dance moves from his dad.

Billy couldn’t sit still.  He just had to bounce and run and bounce some more.

Rusty was just happy to be out of his stroller.

Then the balloons appeared!  I’m not sure who was more tickled, the boys or Aunt Nancy …

The balloons flew right over head and landed not far from us.  Once they were on the ground, we were welcomed to go up close and take a look.  The boys really enjoyed the giant balloons, but they did not like the loud fire sound when the heat was turned on to keep the balloons inflated (don’t you like my technological speak).  Ricky jumped every time and Billy just gave the balloons his “I don’t think I trust you” look.
