"Is Ricky always that good with Billy?"

Tuesday there was a children’s activity at our church (Primary).  It was about the pioneers who came to Utah and there was bread and jam to be eaten and pioneer games to be played.  Kevin took Ricky and Billy over for the fun.

I headed to the church just after they got home for a youth activity for which I was in charge.   I saw one of my friends there still cleaning up from the kids’ activity and she said to me, “Oh, that Billy!”  She went on to tell me about him in the stick pull game.  He was going against a boy at least 6 months older than him (and one who he frequently tackled in their Nursery class last year, I might add).  The boys were positioned, the “go” given, and whoop!  Billy flipped poor Jack right over him!  I’ve never been so proud!

Kevin didn’t get a picture of Billy’s stick-pull, but here’s Ricky …

A few moments later, I ran into another friend.  She had to stop and ask, “Is Ricky always that good with Billy?”  She told me how Ricky held his hand and led him place to place and just was the best big brother … she also mentioned that she wished her boys were that good to each other!  This one really did make me proud … if only they got along that well at home!

Here is Ricky keeping Billy safe and in place at the activity …

I’ve mentioned that Rusty thinks he’s at least a 3 year old, some days even a 5 year old.  He wants to do what big brothers are doing and nothing is going to hold him back.  Here is what Kevin let the little one do this week.  Sigh.
