Getting Home

Tommy and I came home on Monday afternoon.  Aunt Suzy was nice enough to stay with the boys while Kevin came to the hospital to get us discharged.  Ricky had to go to school before we got home and Rusty was still asleep, but Billy was more than happy to welcome us home.

He even pulled out his play camera to capture the moment …

Tommy looked so cute in his coming home outfit, but wasn’t thrilled with showing it off …

Billy really wanted to hold Tommy, so we sat him on the couch and placed the baby in his arms.  Suddenly Billy wasn’t so sure about this thing …

Then he warmed up to the cute little bundle …

When Rusty got up, he was excited too.  He likes to touch Tommy.  He’ll point his finger and touch whatever part he can … his head, his hand, his feet, his pacifier.   Then Rusty discovered something even more fun than the new baby … the baby’s bouncy seat!  Rusty thinks it is a ride just for him!

Having 4 little boys, I’m sure that I will hear myself for years to come telling them to be nice and stop touching each other.  For now, we have found at least one safe place for Tommy … well, safe from the boys anyway.  Our cats can still hop into the playpen just to sniff and lick his soft head!

A new Rusty update:  In addition to backwards walking, roaring at people, all four molars having broken through, wiggling his fingers at you as his way of “tickling,” Rusty has learned his first musical instrument.  He is a boy genius on the recorder!  Okay, so all of his songs sound alike, but don’t they all on the recorder anyway?

Tickle,tickle, Tommy!
