Mother's Day

My Mother’s Day was a mostly quiet one.  I had breakfast in bed (something I am generally opposed to) and also lunch and dinner in bed as well.  I only got to see my boys for an hour or so, but they brought me cards and hugs and lots of love.  The bulk of the day was spent getting to know my new baby.

We did have several visitors that evening though …

Cate seemed particularly interested in Baby Tommy.  She couldn’t get enough of him!

Kevin left the big boys with Grandma and brought Rusty up to spend a little bit of time with me and Tommy.  Rusty mostly enjoyed walking around the hospital room and playing peek-a-boo with the curtain, but he’d take a break from his exercise and stop to look at the baby every so often.

Rusty has started holding his hands up when we ask where something is.  I’m pretty sure we had just asked him “Where’s Tommy?” when I snapped this shot.

There he is!

Since all the world did not revolve around Tommy, me, and the hospital … the rest of my family met at my mom’s home for a family dinner.  The boys love spending time with the fam.

Some light-saber time with Uncle Dan …

The corral across the street finally has cows in it again.  The boys loved checking them out!

When letting other adults watch your children, you wouldn’t think it necessary to specify “don’t feed the children to the cows.”   It is a good thing Rusty didn’t mind sitting in the cow trough.
