We had some workmen doing some window and door replacements for us today. Rusty spent a lot of time in the play pen so that he would be out of their way and when I did finally release him, he couldn’t have been happier. He slid down to the family room where the big boys were playing and I finished what I was doing in the front room.
This little one is so unlike his big brothers. Rusty is figuring things out at a much earlier age and he will probably be the death of me! When we had our laundry room flood a couple of weeks ago, my large bucket of powder laundry soap was moved from its usual home. It had not made it back yet.
Back to today, I hadn’t heard Rusty in a while, so I headed downstairs to find him. As I got to the bottom of the stairs, Billy said, “Rusty’s in big trouble!” I don’t know how to teach this sweet three year old to tell me about these kinds of problems before I see them for myself! Rusty had found my bucket of soap. Rusty had opened my bucket of soap. Rusty had turned my laundry room floor into a big white sand box! There are very few non-baby proof areas in my house, but this kid seems to excel at finding them!
