For the Tuesday of Ricky’s birthday week, he started the day on a shopping trip with Grandpa Brent and Grandma Jeanne. They let him pick out a birthday toy and a toy for each of his brothers. He chose a Toy Story toy for himself and Billy, that made sense since they’d just seen the movie a week earlier. Ricky’s choice for Rusty made me laugh though. He picked out books. Rusty does love books, however, I’m not sure about the subject matter. They are Spongebob Squarepants books. Yeah, I’m pretty sure that was a sneaky way to get another present for himself!
The big fun of the day for Ricky was going with his grandparents, Kevin, and Billy to an Ogden Raptors baseball game that night.
The report I got from the boys sounded like they had a good time. Billy even recognized when the ball was hit over the fence, “he got a home run!” They also liked dancing to the music between innings and such. Ricky would get mad because the music didn’t last very long. I think their favorite part though was seeing a real dinosaur at the game …
Billy would sound the warning when he saw the mascot, “Watch out! There’s a T-Rex coming!”
Final score 11 to 3. The Ogden Raptors (Pioneer League team for the Dodgers) beat the Orem Owls (farm team of the Angels).
