I received a note this morning. It read,
“To whom it may concern,
We’d like to thank a few people. First, those who did the landscaping at Ricky’s school many, many years ago. Planting a couple of pine cone bearing trees right on the playground was a fabulous idea.
Second, to the makers of Ricky’s shorts. Having a hundred different pockets on one pair of shorts is ingenious. And having them all close differently – buttons, velcro, zippers – makes it an even better design.
Finally, to Ricky’s momma. Thank you for being too tired to check all of those hundred pockets even though you knew he was collecting pine cones by the dozen.
Without all of you, the adventure we experienced this morning would never have been realized.

Okay. Maybe there was no REAL note. But if those two appliances could text, I’m sure I would have gotten a message just like that.
I bet they tweeted about it with @dishwasher and @fridge. They don’t want the kitchen appliances to feel left out of the fun that goes on in the laundry room.
