First Loose Tooth

Ricky has his first loose tooth.  He discovered it at dinner a week or so ago.  He was eating a carrot and when he bit into it, his tooth hurt.  I went to check, found the loose tooth, and explained to Ricky what the issue was.  Have we mentioned he’s dramatic?

Poor thing couldn’t stand having his dad check it out.  I’m not sure how loose it is now … Ricky has no interest in letting me near his mouth!

He must be thinking about what’s going to happen though.  I was reading a Facebook status that said, “so-and-so lost their tooth and the Tooth Fairy is coming.”  Ricky was reading over my shoulder and was very concerned for this person who had misplaced their tooth before the Tooth Fairy could find it.  Once I explained the phrase to him, Ricky was okay again.

Oh, man. If there’s one thing that gives me the heebie geebies more than pictures of messy eaters it’s pictures of loose teeth or freshly pulled loose teeth. I’m cringing a little just looking at poor Ricky’s teeth in that picture. What’s the going rate for the tooth fairy these days anyway? He should get a little extra for that metal one.
