Is your mama a llama?

(This post is very late in coming.)

Ricky’s birthday present from Uncle Tony was an adventure.  My boys love these gifts and Billy is already looking forward to his birthday so he can go on one by himself.

This adventure with Uncle Tony, Aunt Diane and Skyler included a trip to the Legacy Center pool and a visit to the 16th Annual Llama Fest at the Krishna Temple in Spanish Fork.  Uncle Dan and his family went along as well.

Apparently there was a trick with this slide … to keep the little one from getting a face full of water, the bigger one needed to lift the littler one up as they came out of the tunnel.  Uncle Tony is demonstrating that here.  Cousin Danny and Uncle Dan tried it the other way.

Did you know that Ricky loves the water?

He loved that Danny and Cate were there too.

I am told that Ricky actually really liked all the water being dumped on his head from this waterfall.  Uncle Tony’s face makes me question that …

Then to the llamas.

Watch out!  They spit!

Llamas aren’t for everyone …

When Kevin and I last went to Llama Fest (10 years ago) the temple wasn’t built yet.  This year they got to go up and check out the view.

Ricky loved this adventure.  He also got a toy llama that he named “Cutie.”   She lived inside his slipper for many weeks after.  When Uncle Tony had dropped Ricky off and driven away, Ricky started to cry.  I assumed it was because he didn’t want the fun to stop.  Instead, it was because Billy had missed out on all the fun with him.  See, he really does like Billy!

Thanks for the fun and the memories, Uncle Tony!
