Wednesday was Dress Up Like What You Want to Be When You Grow Up Day at Billy’s preschool. So, I asked Billy What he wanted to be when he grew up. Without any hesitation he told me, “A mailman.”
I tried to sway him (not that there is anything wrong with working for the postal system) to some profession for which we already had a costume. Billy doesn’t sway easily. So he went like a mailman.
In unrelated news, that same morning, Tommy proved his speed. He was barricaded behind the ottoman but found a way out and decided to follow Billy – down the stairs – foot over head over foot, repeat. Tommy only cried until I picked him up and kissed him. My kisses make everything all better – at least for my boys.
