Rusty talks quite a bit. He certainly gets his messages across! He’s even starting to repeat back little prayers, like the blessing on the food.
Some of my favorite things to hear him say are just short phrases or words that he uses a gazillion times each day. Here’s a few:
Kicky – translation: Ricky
B. E. – translation: Billy
Conny – translation: Tommy
Mickey Mouse – translation: uh, Mickey Mouse
Fire – translation: pacifier
Drink – translation: That cup had better have milk in it or else you’ll be hearing “milk. why?”
Momma Poppy – translation: I talk to Momma all day but now I want Poppy’s attention
No – translation: no, yes, maybe, it is over there, what are you talking about
Yep (yeah) – translation: I’m tired of saying no
Outside – translation: The snow is melted, the sun is out, get me out of this house!
Piece – translation: I’d really like to put a puzzle together now
Why – translation: you just said something that I don’t agree with and if I repeat this word enough, I might just get my way
Tinky Jones – translation: I’ve made a mess in my diaper
P.S. We have a robot vacuum, the Roomba. Billy calls it our “Ruba” or “Aruba.” It makes me giggle. I’m so mature.
