It is no secret, I love the “Back to the Future” movies. I haven’t watched them a lot since having the boys because there is some foul language and some intense scenes and I, generally, avoid showing them that stuff. However, I do my best cleaning when these movies are on. I don’t know why.
So … I’ve been doing some spring cleaning and had a lot on my list one day last week. Ricky and Billy were at school, Tommy was taking a morning nap, Rusty was playing downstairs, so I turned on my cleaning movie. Rusty came upstairs just as Doc Brown is sending his dog into the future. One minute into the future, to be exact.
My poor two-year old stared at the TV and just kept repeating, “Oh, no! Puppy go? Car go? Oh, no!” Over and over and over until the car reappeared a minute later. Then Rusty was happy and went back to his playing.
A few days later, I again had a lot to do and had loved how much I was able to accomplish while listening to “Back to the Future” earlier in the week, so I turned the second movie on. Billy was home that day, but busy playing with Rusty.
I was getting a lot done when the two boys came into the room. Doc and Marty were in the evil 1985 and Marty was being shot at for reading a newspaper. Billy stopped suddenly and said, “What’s going to…” and Rusty finished with, “Happen?”
Not even twins and, yet, finishing each others’ sentences … watching these two grow up is going to be fun!
