Through a series of hands-on activities this week, I’ve taught the boys about the last week of Christ’s life. They get quite animated when they retell it!
Billy’s favorite part was, as he said, “Beating our pretend Jesus.” I had found a recipe for cookies that you make while telling about Jesus’s death and when they are finished, they are hollow and empty like the tomb. All of it is great EXCEPT it has you break up nuts with a wooden spoon while talking about Jesus being beaten. Billy got a little TOO into that part.
Ricky’s favorite part was the end. After all the bad stuff, he said, “It all turns out good!”
And because of Easter it really does!
