Sunday Antics

What would a Sunday be around our house without some excitement?  Yesterday’s was mild compared to Billy’s toilet explosion last month, but it all put a smile on my face.

We were eating lasagna with Grandmama, Aunt Nancy, Uncle Tim, and Aunt Kym.  The boys had been split up among the adults (to share the fun) and Uncle Tim had Billy on one side with Ricky on the other.

Not one to waste the good crunchy part of a lasagna, Uncle Tim tried slipping some from Billy’s plate.  Yeah, Billy wouldn’t have any of that!  He’s the one who steals food from other’s plates … you don’t take it off of his!  After Billy defended his food, Uncle Tim went back to his own plate which Ricky was slowly sliding towards himself.  This was the point when Billy declared, “If it isn’t yours, don’t touch it!”  to his uncle.  Kevin and I were never more proud!

Maybe we were more proud a few moments later when Aunt Nancy started laughing.  She’d chosen the seat next to Rusty and he was quite boldly stealing all of her green beans and shoving them into his mouth.  At least he was going for the vegetables, right?

All this time, Tommy was busy flinging jello, feeding the dog his peas and just waiting for some chocolate cake for dessert.  And he made us proud as well as he smeared himself nicely with the cake as only a one year old can do (and get away with).

Boring mealtimes at your house?  Just invite us over and we’ll remedy that.

If your lucky maybe we’ll borrow Uncle Tim’s car.  Ricky thinks it is pretty sweet.  He told me that “Uncle Tim drives a no-roofer car!  Cool!”
