We had our family pictures done a couple of weeks ago. Candis the Great came to do them for us. If only our children had been as great!
I love my boys dearly, but I wish they were a bit better at performing. Looking at the camera, holding still, and smiling is a bit too much multi-tasking for my lot. That’s why we love Candis – she just keeps taking pictures and captures great candids.
This attempt was particularly difficult with the babies. Both Rusty and Tommy had molars working their way through and we could NOT get Rusty to keep his hands out of his mouth.
I don’t really mind. Candis captured US. Me with my eyes closed … Kevin slouching … Ricky’s stretched out face … Billy’s cranky look … Rusty’s “are you talking to me” expression … Tommy’s wariness … She got it all. Pretty sure we’ll call her again when it is time for more!
These were all done at our local rodeo arena. It had a lot of fun backdrops and, best of all, it was in the shade! It was hot and I felt melted before we started, so I was happy for those covered bleachers!
The boys loved the location as well. Since we were the only ones there, they were allowed to roam and wander all over. They were sure there was a mystery right under their noses!
The only downfall was the playground within sight that they were itching to play on.
I just love capturing these moments of my boys’ lives. Being able to look back at how they’ve grown and changed makes me smile. I’m all for a good photo shoot.
And, seriously, could my kids be any cuter?
