Threes

There is a common idea, superstition perhaps, that bad things come in threes.  Whatever it is … we’ve seen it often enough to be a little wary.

#1:  A couple of weeks ago, while Kevin and I were on our very fun anniversary trip, our camera died.  I took a picture, I went to take a second picture, and pfft.  Nothing.  Now I’m left with el crapo camera for a while.

Trying to find the good … Kevin had his iPhone and I had my iPod and we were still able to get some fun memory pictures from our trip.  And, we do own el crapo camera, so we are still able to capture moments of cuteness with our boys.

#2:  This last Saturday as Kevin was heading home from the search and rescue efforts for our friends’ boy, this happened …

…while he was passing a semi.

Trying to find the good … Kevin maintained control of the suburban – he had several other men with him to help get it changed – no one was hurt – and we didn’t take the suburban on our trip to Washington to have this have happened then!

#3.  (And don’t even try to tell me that this doesn’t compare.  I was there …)Twice today, while in the same BYU Bookstore, Tommy had one of these …

Perhaps that picture doesn’t do the back-arching and inconsolableness justice.  Picture if you can the little old ladies there who kept coming over to try and comfort him.  Picture him getting even more worked up because these strange (yet well-intentioned) ladies kept touching him.  Picture me just trying to get the heck out of Dodge!

Trying to find some good … Nap times should be strictly observed!  Other than that, tonight, I’ve got nothing.

He knows that he’s cute … even when he’s cranky.
