We are doing a Thankful Turkey this month. There is a turkey body on the wall and each night everyone picks one thing we are thankful for to write on a feather that we add to the body.
It is fun listening to what the boys are thankful for, especially Rusty. He must have blue feather each night.
The first night when I asked Rusty what he was thankful for, he didn’t hesitate or pause. He quickly said, “Jesus!”
As a proud momma, I wrote it down with a smile.
The second night when I asked Rusty what he was thankful for, he again quickly answered, “Jesus!” I told him how nice that was, but asked him to pick something else. He thought for a moment and then said, “Heavenly Father!”
Again, a proud momma moment.
Last night, our third night, it was again Rusty’s turn. He again picked a blue feather.
I asked, “Rusty, what are you thankful for tonight?”
Rusty answered, “Jesus, Heavenly Father, and … Batman!”
