Christmas 1.2 – The Morning

The boys were up and ready to go by 6:30.  They had to wait until Grandmama came at 7:00, though, before they could go downstairs and see what Santa brought.  Waiting is hard sometimes.

So is sitting still for a picture…

The wait was worth it.  The boys all dug in and spent some good time playing with their Santa toys.  They were even pretty good about sharing them!

Santa brought Ricky the DS game he asked for and a couple of Star Wars things…

Billy got a TRIO Batcave and Batmobile …

He liked the new Batman and Robin best…

Rusty got a new race track and cars …

He was pretty good about sharing with Tommy …

Tommy got some new legos, which he actually really likes, but he was too busy looking at his brothers’ toys for me to get a good picture.

And we can’t forget the ever exciting new underwear that Santa always sticks in the stockings!

Even Kevin had to get in on the race track fun …

After a good amount of play time, we opened the rest of the gifts.  The boys are never excited to get clothes and the books get tossed aside until story-time, but they do eventually get the right amount of love.  Our family also spoiled our boys with lots of fun games and toys this year.

Looking at a new book with Grandmama …

Ho, ho, ho!

I was trying to get Rusty interested in the things in his stocking, but he was more interested in his brothers’ stuff.

Time for a random hug from Tommy!

I took Ricky and Billy shopping shortly before Christmas to buy presents for their dad and brothers.  They took their time, but came up with pretty good gifts.  They gave their dad a new hammer (to go along with the new one they gave him for Father’s Day) and new work gloves.  They picked out toy cars and airplanes for their little brothers.  And, they decided to give each other light sabers.  I think Billy was going to go the most crazy waiting for his chance to open that light saber.

Watch out though, Tommy likes to get his hands on them too and his aim isn’t so great!  It is a good thing they aren’t real or Kevin would be missing his head, an arm, his legs, a couple of fingers …
