When asked by Uncle Tony if he’d used his Christmas present yet (a very cool headlamp), Ricky responded,
“I haven’t. Sorry. But there is another Christmas present that I got that I’d like to show you …”
It was such a perfect segue into showing Uncle Tony how good he’d gotten at one of his Nintendo DS games that I had to actually compliment Ricky for it on the spot.
It must have been a deep thought day for Ricky because later that same night, while eating a dinner of grilled cheese sandwiches and cocoa with Grandmama, he said, “We’re the only people in the whole wide world having this exact meal right now.”
He was probably right. And he and Billy thought Grandmama was pretty cool for fixing it for them, too.
