Ricky had his first piano recital in June. He got to be the very first student to play his songs and I got to play the duet parts with him (lucky, Momma!). He played the Siamese Cat song from “Lady and the Tramp” and It’s a Small World After All.
He did get a little lost in Small World, but I was very pleased with how he played.

Ricky’s piano teacher couldn’t actually be at the recital – the lady in the video is a neighbor who helped out. Melanie (his teacher) has an 8 year old daughter who was in an ATV accident early in June. It wasn’t looking good the first week and a lot of prayers were said (some cute ones by my boys even) and now, McKennlie is healing at Primary Childrens. Slowly, but faster than the therapists had hoped. Melanie is having a baby next month, so Ricky and I are winging piano lessons until she has her family in a place where she can start teaching again. We both miss her!
