I hate it when I suddenly find pictures for an event that I already blogged. It irks me. Only because then I’m all out of sequence and wrongly labelled and perhaps I’m a bit OCD when it comes to my blog.
Anyway.
I found these fun pictures on Kevin’s camera from Ricky’s birthday.
I had bought the boys new muscle shirts and basketball shorts for our trip to St. George. I totally forgot about them when I packed for that trip. So the boys all got new outfits for Ricky’s birthday. Surprise!

I love having the boys give each other gifts. I’m not sure who was more excited about this Lego set, Ricky or his brothers who picked it out for him.
And then there was mine and Kevin’s present to Ricky. He’d asked for a Pokemon video game. So, in addition to several books (lest you think I just rot my son’s brain), he got that and a Harry Potter game.
He didn’t need even a tiniest reminder or encouragement – he flew out of his seat and gave me a big old thank you hug. That doesn’t happen very often.
It felt pretty cool.
