Making Haunted Houses

There always seems to be other things I’d rather do with the boys than decorate gingerbread houses at Christmas, but when I saw the orange, green, and purple frosting at the store, I thought they might like making Haunted Houses for Halloween.  I was right.

I’ve got to admit, they surprised me at how serious they took their house making …

And we learned that Rusty might need just a bit more, um, supervision when sprinkles are involved.

I had to make one for Bobby.  Yeah, that’s why I made it.

Tommy couldn’t get enough of the frosting.  He loved squeezing it … and adding more and more and more …

Kevin just made the off-hand comment about Tommy’s use of frosting, “Tommy, you win the award for the tallest haunted house!”  Rusty didn’t miss a beat, “What award to I get?”  So then Kevin had to divy out awards …

They all turned out fabulous!  The boys couldn’t eat them until November 1st.
