Miscellaneous But Cute

I had strep throat in March.  It is a nasty illness for an adult and that was my fourth time with it in fourteen months.  I was very thankful for this little play set taking up space in my living room those sick days.  Bobby found lots of enjoyment climbing and swinging while I lay in a stupor on the couch!

Sometimes this is how the boys get ready for family prayers.

Our friends, the Buck family, invited us over for a musical family night.  Our church was having a talent show and our two families played “Popcorn Popping” on the bells.  We couldn’t resist putting 8 boys and 1 princess all on one couch before we started practicing with the bells.  You can see our lovely performance HERE.  (Bobby stayed home with Grandmama … it was better that way.)

Sometimes you need to sneak stuffed animals out of bedrooms so the baby boy will sleep better.  When that stuffed animal is a giant Grumpy Cat, you might have to look like this …

While doing some spring cleaning, I came across Kevin’s old practice drum pad and sticks.  Bobby knew exactly what to do with them…

Kevin and I were able to attend a 3 day conference called “Master Your Influence” in February.  Grandmama was gracious enough to watch our boys.  We learned a lot about visualization and positive thinking.  We are both better people because of the things we learned there.

Tommy went to the doctor for his Kindergarten check-up.  I’m not sure how he is old enough to be starting kindergarten in the fall, but he passed all his tests and didn’t even flinch when he got his shots.  Tommy is awesome!

Sometimes the boys build things and ask us to take pictures.  Cool potato head dude, Rusty!

Cool whatever those are, Tommy!

A friend of ours has an Etsy Shop where she sells homemade toys.  They are adorable and I generally resist the temptation to buy them (only because we have so many toys), but I had to have this Tag-a-long Kitty.  Orange cats are my weakness and my baby boy pulling this orange kitty around behind him melts my heart.  Every.  Single.  Time.

Bobby is working on developing his fashion style.  I’m trying to be patient about his choices.

Our elementary school assembled emergency food kits for the students.  The local high school had a lock-down a couple of months ago because of a gun scare.  The lock-down lasted several hours and many of the students were very hungry by the time it was over.  Our school wanted to be prepared if something like that should happen there.  I had the biggest vehicle, so I got to pick up all the food.  Rusty was a great helper!

Wiggle Cars are wonderful!  I love that my one year old can zoom around on one, but so can I!  It is a little trickier when the one year old climbs on with me, but we made it work just fine!
