The student of the month at the boys’ school is called the “Mustang of the Month.” This year all three boys got that privilege in back to back months …
December went to Billy. (front row, shortest crouching boy in red)
January went to Rusty.
And February belonged to Ricky. (back row, not smiling short-haired blond)
Although he isn’t smiling in the picture, Ricky was the most excited about this honor. It is the first time he’s gotten it in years, if not the first time ever (we can’t remember for sure). He had a hard time watching his brothers get it in December and January, so it was thrilling for him to achieve this recognition as well.
It is a big deal to the kids – they get to eat lunch with the principal, have this group picture taken, and get a treat along with their certificate.
