March Miscellany

A few moments from March …

The big orange cat loves Ricky so much that he sometimes needs a deep whiff of his sandals – ahhh!

Early spring sunshine means it is time to play outside!

Bobby was meant to dig in the dirt.  He LOVES it!

For my birthday, Kevin gave me new carpet in our front room.  Here’s the old …

While waiting for the carpet to come, we finally had plenty of seating in the family room!

More sunny days, more outside selfies!

I love these boys!

And I love my nice, clean new carpet!

Tommy had a wiggly front tooth but he really, really wanted his kindergarten teacher to pull it out.  One morning he woke up and it was barely hanging on, but he refused to pull it or mess with it because Mrs. Young was going to get to pull it!  He made it through breakfast and lunch and still had that tooth!  We got him ready for school and we were waiting on the steps for his ride and Tommy coughed … and out coughed the tooth!  Mrs. Young didn’t get to pull it after all!  BUT, she got to pull the next one out a day or two later when it was ready!

Sometimes a cat needs to sleep with a stuffed cat because the two year old says so.

So back in December, I had a woman tell me how devastated I made her feel during PTA meetings.  She said that the looks I gave her made her feel insignificant and unimportant.  Well, I was devastated to hear that because I had tried so hard to build a good relationship with her.  I couldn’t think what she possibly meant!  I finally realized that she must have been referring to my thinking face.  She would suggest something, I’d think about it, and then give my thoughts.  Well, Kevin captured me thinking with my “thinking face” in a picture one night – okay, I guess that could be a mean look to some people.

Kevin and I went to a class called “Craving Conundrums” for a date night.  It was a fun class about our relationship with food.  One of the presenters happened to be my 7th Grade locker partner, Lisa!  It was awfully fun running into her again after all these years!

At the Blue and Gold Banquet the end of February, Billy earned his Wolf Badge which means Momma got another pin!

IMG_9216

The Blue and Gold theme was a carnival and I was asked to tie balloons.  It’s been a long time since I did any balloon tying, but it was kind of fun.  The boys liked their hats and had a lot of fun playing all the carnival games!

Kevin took the 4 boys, my mom, and my aunt to the Provo City Center Temple Open House.  I was feeling pretty awful that day and stayed home to chill and nap with Bobby.  The boys liked the temple and thought it was awfully pretty, but their favorite part was the fountain.

Fountains for these boys are like moths to a light – and usually requires a gentle reminder to leave the water alone!

Some days require a laundry basket of clothes to lay in while you watch TV.  That’s just how this one rolls!

There you go.
